Dear Cheerleaders,
Hello All!
I thought I would address some comments here...
First of all, thanks to Dawn, Charla, Stephanie, Kristie, Trey, Amanda, Brandy and Belinda for being my cheerleaders! Your comments have helped me through some....hungry, craving days!
Dawn - thanks for the water "treat" tip...i'll have to check out the citrus one......i could sleep right now....but especially at 5 a.m.!!!
Charla - you are definitely right about nutrisystem teaching your portions and about healthier options......i can't believe how much food you get to eat if it's actually healthy...I'm so glad you are my new sponsor...my last one has some "issues"
Trey - lifestyle instead of a diet.....love it.
Brandy - trust me the scale does not lie...i'll tell my mom you said hello and you tell your's also! i saw where you called yesterday...i was either studying or feeding jonah....i'll call you back soon! i heard your sweet kiddos in the background...
Kristie - proud of you for not drinking cokes, eating fried food, etc! and for participating in this big run this weekend...you're going to do GREAT!
Let's see okay this whole workout time thing...Kristie says morning is the only way......Dawn agrees that sleep is the greatest thing ever and goes after work.......so I think I'm going to try 3 different times.....5 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.....each one for a week and see how they work for me.
Veggies? Do you people eat them???? I need something new because my carrots, broccoli and cauliflower are getting old...
Oh, MAMA MIA!!!

1 stinkin' pound
It's been 9 days with no soda and 7 days on Nutrisystem. I've only really, really wanted a Dr. Pepper once....caused by stress. I felt like I needed to call my Dr. Pepper Anonymous Sponsor...I called my mom, she tells me to have one. I have to find a new sponsor.
Almost every time I read Mckmama's blog I want to drive to McDonald's. Other foods I miss are french fries, peanut butter, chicken nuggets (fell in love with these while pregnant with Jonah), almost everything from the Bakery, okay that's all I can think of...I really expected my list to be longer.
The Nutrisystem food isn't bad at all....but I can tell it's healthier than what I have been consuming. Some of my favorite meals this past week are....Mushroom Risotto, so yummy...it's more spicy than I like, but I'm wishing I would've ordered at least 1 more of those....the flame-broiled burger....all of the cereal, oatmeal and pancakes.....and the chicken salad (YUM!!), the hearty minestrone soup and the cookies!
I cannot keep my fridge stocked with enough fruits and vegetables.....each day I eat 3 fruits and 4 veggies.....
What's your favorite fruits/veggies and how do you make them more yummy??
So who is the person that voted on none I'm at my ideal weight because you ROCK!
I also want to say congrats toooooo....these ladies that have lost some lbs.
Belinda - 11
Amanda - 9
Stephanie - 8
Amber Cabler (Biggest Loser this week) - 7
Sharon - 4
Dawn -3
Yea! for you ladies....that's awesome...
I only lost 1 stinkin' pound, but that's ok. I know I worked hard last week, gave up a lot of junk and I didn't get to work out....at least it was still a loss. This week I hope to hit the gym more.
That's my struggle this week....figuring out what the best time for me to work out is....
I would LOVE to be that ambitious mom who wakes before everyone, hits the gym and is ready before the kids wake up (oh but how I love my sleep). I also think going right after work would be convenient, but it's hard for Chris to pick up the kids each day. In the past I have always gone around 8ish at night...after bath/bed time...but these days I want to be in bed by 9!
What about you guys? When do you go? What works best for you and your families??

My New "Diet"
This is Day 4 of my new life changes...and you know what? Tomorrow is Friday and I think I might just keep on going....
Honestly, I haven't had much time to think about Dr. Peppers this week. They are not in my fridge staring at me and after reading about how much sugar is in them on Trey's blog I'm not missing them too bad.
I hesitate in telling you what "diet" I'm on for two reasons...
1) I don't believe "diets" are the best plans...life changes are
and
2) I don't like the idea of gaining all of the weight back when I get off of this "diet"
but I'm all about honesty so I'll share...
Yesterday, I started Nutrisystem. I'm not here to endorse it or say that it's going to be this miracle weight loss cure because I don't believe that. I do think it will help me with portions, adding fruits and veggies and weed out all of the junk food I've been slamming down my throat for the last few years.
I believe in healthy eating and exercise. I struggle with commitment. Having these portions delivered to my door...is going to help me. Maybe not everyone, but me! I will commit to eating what I'm supposed to on this "diet."
I tried Weight Watchers before and I did lose weight, but then I got lazy and it was too easy to eat whatever and not count the points.
With Nutrisystem I have spent $$ on it and I will eat it.....and I will be faithful and check off my meal plan each day. I can't believe how much food I'm eating. They are like marathon meals. It's just one fruit or vegetable after another. So good.
I'm also drinking water ALL day long.....which has made me feel better....and without the sodas I feel like I can think a little more clearly.
I don't have all of the answers and some things that I'm going to do or eat you will know of something better. I hope that you will share your healthier ideas with me.

Day 1
Oh Mondays. How many times have I started a new diet or exercise regimen on a Monday only to completely forget about it by Friday? I hope this time is different.
No Dr. Pepper today and it has actually been okay. When I went home for lunch I really wanted one...but I was tough and had water. The rest of the day I either drank hot (decaf) tea or water with some flavor thanks to the little Crystal Light packets. Not too shabby.
I went to the gym to weigh for the Biggest Loser Contest at F3 and I also met with my buddy Steph so I could get my workouts lined up. Boy, is she great!! She really inspired me today.
I will admit that I ate 2 cookies because I knew I was going to weigh today...but I must get rid of them. Sitting in my glass cookie jar will not do. Out of sight, out of mind!!
If I lose my goal of 45 lbs. I will weigh what I did my junior year in high school. Is that even possible..to weigh what you did in high school after having babies? We shall see.
Bad choices from today:

Good choices from today:

- actually went to the gym...just for a training session though

I'm about to go all Bridget Jones on you people
Today....actually right now as I type this, I'm having my last Dr. Pepper for a while. I'm so sad. I'm also tired of being so dependent on them...and having them control my thoughts and my days. There are worse things in this world, but to me Dr. Pepper is pretty bad because I let myself be consumed by thoughts of having one. I want one for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while I'm watching my favorite television programs, on road trips, ballgames, while eating out you name it. I don't always allow myself to have one. To be quite honest on most days I'm pretty good and have no more than 2...but then there are days where I'll have 4. I know a few people who only drink soda ALL day long. This is crazy to me. I think Dr. Pepper is so bad for me just because what purpose does it have besides bring me a few moments of joy? It has no other purpose. There is nothing nutritional about it. Nothing. So this time I will give it an honest try.
